T-shirt beauty

Zara and I made a cool t-shirt using Sharpie markers with alcohol.  She was amazed at how the colors spread out in such pretty patterns.
It's really big but might make a good beach cover-up.

Fun Day

Caden has been loving the "fishy song" Peter, James and John.  So today we walked to the Fish Store and looked at all the neat fish.  Zara liked the "Nemo" fish and Grandma liked the yellow ones.  Caden liked all of them.

Then we had a fun lunch at Subway.  And ended up at the Art store where Zara found a neat coloring book and Caden found one with dump trucks.  So everybody was happy.

Old Toys are New Again

Every day is a fun day for Caden.  He is happy all the time.

I brought out some of Zach's toys and Caden has been excited to play with them.

Zara had fun hauling things in the wagon--er, manure spreader-- too.

Meeting Baby Claire

What a joy to meet Claire Malie.  So blessed.  Can't wait for Grandpa to see her.

Sophie's Fun Chair

Grandma got to spend a day with Sophie when she had an ear infection.  She wasn't feeling great but did spend a little time with her animals on her new birthday chair.

Funny Potato

Isn't this a funny potato?  I thought it looked like some kind of animal.  Doesn't it look like it has two ears? And a nose?  Caden, it was fun to talk to you on the phone today.  I liked the animal sounds that you and daddy made.  Take good care of Zara.  Love you!

Garden surprises

I was picking zucchini today when I saw this beautiful frog.  Or is it a toad?  I'm not sure, but I never saw one like it before.  The colors on it were so pretty.  Soon after this, I was sitting on a chair reading by the flower bed in the back yard when a yellow finch flew up and sat on top of a flower pole just a little ways away from me.  It was almost completely yellow and was singing so pretty.

I quietly went in the house to get my camera, but it had flown away before I came back.  I found this picture on the internet and it looks just like the one I saw.  Zara, I hope you are feeling better.  Love you!

New tool for Grandpa

Grandpa drove the 1086 to pick up a new tool called a rotary today.  He will use it to break up the soil when it gets too hard in the springtime.  Lucas, I thought you would like to see a picture of it.  Love you!
