Combine Excitement

Lucas was so excited about riding on the combine.  Sophie and I took him to the field on the Gator.  All the way he had his ears covered because he thought it was going to be loud.  But when we actually got up to the combine, he hopped right off the Gator when Grandpa called him over.  He climbed right up with a big smile on his face.

Fortunately, I guess, it started sprinkling so they had to quit.  Otherwise, I'm not sure Lucas would have gotten off...ever!

Caden is two!

Pinata fun at the party.  (Can't get this pic to go to the end for some reason.  Oh well.)
The beginning of an engineering masterpiece of a birthday cake...

Grandpa popped LOTS of popcorn.

School Excitement

Zara visited her new school with Mom and Dad.
Rainy first day...
Zara is excited about her new locker.
Getting right to work...
And a Molly Moo's ice cream treat after a long, but fun, first day of school.

More Seattle Fun

Grandpa  built lots of buildings which were usually knocked down with great delight by Zara or Caden.

Caden loves buses (and anything else with wheels), so we took a ride to the huge downtown Seattle Library.  Grandpa and Grandma enjoyed it, too, since we don't do a lot of bus riding in Archbold!
Had to show this picture because Caden is wearing a shirt that Zach wore when he was little.  Ha!
Grandpa loved reading and reading and reading to Zara.  Not sure which one loved it more.
And Grandma tried to get in as much Claire time as possible.

Fun Outing

We went to Snoqualmie Falls.
Then we went on a train ride.  Caden loves trains and since it was almost his birthday...
what a fun birthday trip.
Wish you could hear him say, "All aboard!"
He was a bit afraid of this big engine, but grandpa took good care of him especially when the loud whistle blew.

Baby Claire

Seattle Zoo

You can't see any animals here but we are at the zoo.  Caden loved sitting on the tractor seat in the farm section.  Can't wait 'til he comes to Ohio and get a ride on grandpa's real tractor.

Zara is sitting in the doorway of a little hut in the African village.  Love this picture!
